Myself and a group of friends stayed here for the second time and it was just as good the second time around. This property is well maintained and beautifully presented with plenty of space inside and out. The location is perfect for walking to York, only 5 – 10 mins depending where you want to be. We got a taxis to the Designer Outlet just 10 mins away and a bus back into the city with a stop 5 mins walk from the house. Would be perfect for attending York racecourse too. We highly recommend this property and we will definitely be returning.
Visited with friends and had a wonderful time. It is hard to find a rental property of this size and useful that the bed arrangements are flexible to accommodate different needs. Also, with 2 downstairs bedrooms including en suite, would be suitable for persons with mobility issues. The whole place was nicely presented with good quality furnishings, including comfy beds and lots of useful equipment. 3 bathrooms and a TV in every room meant there was plenty for everyone. The location is very handy for getting into the city quickly. Communication was prompt and always friendly. An excellent property I would highly recommend.
Just enjoyed a fantastic break away with a group of friends. The house was just perfect. Excellent location, less than 10 minute walk to york centre/dock yet quiet and peaceful. It had everything we needed, spacious, clean and tidy. Well decorated throughout. Beds were super comfy. The bath is huge! The wine fridge was a nice addition and plenty of cooking trays/utensils ect. Basic kitchen things were provided too such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, sugar, some condiments which was great. I would highly recommend staying here!
A group of six friends from Edinburgh, we stayed two nights at Hope Street House. The house is in a great location for exploring York, with a Co-op 3 minutes away, a choice of carry-outs/restaurants close by and the city walls only a minute or two away. You can walk from the railway station to the house on the city walls The house is beautifully furnished and decorated and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. Caroline and Paul were always contactable and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
We rented this property in May 2023 for a group of 7 people, the location is superb within 5/10 minutes of the centre. The accommodation itself is really well maintained, lovely furnishings, fully equipped kitchen and nice little garden with seating area. Caroline was very helpful throughout the booking process and allowed us to check in early as the property was free the night before. Couldn’t recommend Hope Street House highly enough.
